Abstract Wall Art in Metal"Twist and Shout" Abstract metal art by artist Paula Gibbs, Tucson area of AZ. Layered enamel on metal mounted on wood panel, 12" X 47" x 1.5"It is layered enamel paint on metal mounted on a cradled wood panel, 12" X 47" x 1.5".After cutting the metal into strips, I distressed it, by adding folds and bumps. These are the spots where the several layers of enamel paint come through. I paint many layers of enamel paint in various colors. The spots of color are where I used resists, which are areas where I have preserved a earlier paint layer. Once all the paint layers are applied, I remove the resists and hand sand each piece. The sanding takes a lot of work but it is the only way I can get just the right amount of colored layers to come through. The cradled wood panel is 1.5" deep. The sides are painted black and a substantial wire hanging device is installed so it is ready to hang.RETURN POLICY Thank you for choosing my handmade art!
