This piece is my very first metal artwork. It came out so amazing. I keep wondering why I don’t make more of these metal weaves. Viewers really like this modern metal wall art piece and it is a very unique style.

It is made of woven metal which I distressed, painted, then hand sanded to expose the lower paint layer and the metal. I wove hammered wire in between the weaves to add additional interest. The wires extend above and below the mounted panel. The wire adds another element of dimension.

The artwork is mounted away from the wood panel to give it a floating affect. The black 1.5″ panel really makes this piece pop.

My modern metal wall art is mounted on a cradled wood panel. It hangs from a wire and hook just like a canvas. The sides are finished in black.
